The brands commitment to innovation and responsible design is epitomised the collection created in collaboration with the educational charity the Eden Project. This collection of mattresses uses plant-based fibres developed by Hypnos, including from banana, citrus and pineapple; and includes the Good Housekeeping Approved Eden Project Rainforest mattress. Rainforest was recognised by the Institute this summer as the most comfortable ‘More Eco-friendly Pocket Sprung Mattress’.
Legacy Origins III was also acclaimed by the Good Housekeeping Institute for the second year running, and is made using Responsible Wool Standard certified wool which is sourced through The Woolkeepers initiative, which sees a fair and timely price paid directly to British farmers. It also features layers of Himalayan allo, kapok and responsibly sourced cotton. The mattress was winner of ‘Best luxury Mattress’, with one tester describing it as “life changing”, delivering a “brilliant night’s sleep”.
Hypnos is recognised for its excellence in mattress design but also upholstery and holds a Royal Warrant for Beds, Mattresses and Upholstery to His Majesty King Charles III.
With a range of different comfort, storage and design options, these durable pieces of furniture are handcrafted and upholstered at the Hypnos workshops. Each is robustly made with high quality FSC timber and alongside shallow or deep divans with hidden drawers, Hypnos has developed the spacious HideawayTM and ottoman SuperStorageTM which are upholstered in a spectrum of colours and textures. Hypnos also provides a bespoke service for upholstery in the customer’s own fabric.
