Hypnos' Head of Operations Recognised in Leading Industry Awards

Ashley Garside, Head of Operations at Hypnos, has been shortlisted for the ‘Senior Leadership Award’ in the Next Generation Awards 2025.

The Next Generation Awards are part of Commercial Interiors UK’s commitment to celebrating the expertise of its members in the contract furnishing industry. Spotlighting emerging leaders and celebrating innovation, the awards are a highlight of the industry’s calendar.

Hypnos is delighted to report that its Head of Operations, Ashley Garside, has been nominated for both the ‘Senior Leadership’ and ‘Production Leader’ Award in April’s ceremony held at Manchester’s iconic Hallé St Peter's. The night will see the industry come together to see which people and companies are considered the top of their field.

Ashley joins a select shortlist with peers from companies such as Newmor Wallcoverings and Amtico Flooring, as they hope to take to the stage and celebrate a prestigious win. The Senior Leadership Award is presented to the nominee who is judged to have shown a ‘notable leadership project that exemplifies successful management and innovation’, whilst the Production Leader Award celebrates significant project and team leadership to achieve targets.

Ash has been promoted several times at Hypnos, most recently to Head of Operations in March 2024. Joining Hypnos in 2021 as Value Stream Manager, he was tasked with improving quality and efficiency. 

As a rising star of the senior management team, Ash has been shortlisted for his work on the ‘One Hypnos’ project that saw the reintegration of hospitality mattresses and beds manufacturing to Princes Risborough – the ‘Home of Hypnos’. With objectives to integrate manufacturing, foster a ‘One Hypnos’ culture alongside fulfilling ongoing commitments to UK and global customers, Ash headed up this business critical project.

He delivered incremental gains that have led to a significant increase in capacity and improved efficiency, while developing a new approach to quality and craftsmanship for which Hypnos is renowned and ensuring that employees felt supported and valued throughout the integration.
