A high quality divan base offers an important foundation for your mattress, and can effect its feel performance and longevity. This elegant piece of furniture, is handcrafted from FSC® timber and then upholstered.
Hypnos offers both sprung or platform top divans - platform top divans provide a highly supportive base for a firmer feel, whilst a sprung base works in harmony with the mattress to provide a more medium feel.
Divan bed bases are typically made up of two supportive bases, held securely together with a bracket. Deep divan bed bases can provide valuable storage to suit the needs of the bedroom. Our Hideaway™ and Super Storage™ bases are platform-top bases which offer a sensible solution to make the most of the space under your mattress.
Just like a deep base, a shallow divan features either a sprung or platform top base and it achieves a light simple style when complemented by elegant leg choices.
Choose between a firm edge divan base for extra comfort or a platform top for a firmer feel.

For extra comfort and support right up to the edge of the bed, with springs covering the sleeping area, but with a timber outer edge.
platform top divan base
For a firmer feel, we recommend the solid top divan base, which has no pocket springs.

Choose a traditional deep divan base with chrome castors as standard. A deep divan can also include practical hidden storage.

Our hidden storage drawers are a clever and subtle solution to save space and hide away your stored items in the bedroom, for a restful and clutter-free sleeping space.
This unique choice of hidden storage is available for beds larger than a single (90cm). Its robust design and construction cater for the storage of heavier and larger-sized items like suitcases and boxes, which are then hidden by the valances.
Our SuperStorage™ Base provides the ultimate storage solution. Simply lift up the top of the bed base, which is hinged, allowing you to use the entire divan base for storage.

Available in different options to suit your divan, Hypnos headboard designs are available to fit shallow or deep divans and provide an array of classic and contemporary styles, from deep-buttoned and hand-pleated headboards to curved and elegantly formed shapes.
After doing much research and trying out a mattress at our local bed store, I knew that all the previous mattresses I had tried could not compete.
